I apoligize. It's been a few days longer than I planned for an update, but, it's been a busy week for mom and dad.

Itteh is doing just fine. She's growing and eating TONS! I think her average feeding is now around 5ozs, although, I've had her plow through 7ozs too. She's gotten a little off her schedule and has been preferring to be fed and changed every two hours, which is a little rough come bed time. Last night was the first night in about a week where she was back to midnight, 3am and 6am feedings, and that was mainly due to me turning the volume doen on the baby monitor. She cried a little bit more but she always calmed right down as soon as I came in the room.

Working from home again today, I brought the receiver downstairs to my office so she wouldn't disturb mommy if she started fussing early. Not only did she not fuss, I finally went upstairs about 10am to wake her up and I find her just lying in her crib, awake and just looking around. She threw me a quick smile (I know... pro'ly just gas!). I picked out a little outfit for her, changed her and dressed her and brought her downstairs with me. She quite happily polished off 6ozs and went right to sleep. She's now contentedly snoozing away in her bouncer in front of the fish tank.

She is spending more time awake these days and is really pretty good at entertaining herself. Sometimes, she wants' to be held but, mostly, so long as she has something interesting to stare at, she's fine by herself too.

One question we've gotten from several people is how are the cats doing? Well, for the most part they are interested in her, but, they seem to like her. She's quiet, doesn't chase after them and isn't competing with them for food so, as far as they are concerned she's ok. Very often, when I'm feeding Jeannette or just holding her I'll wind up with one or two fuzzies coming up for some attention too. They check her and then settle in so, I don't think we'll have any problems. Max, my black cat, was the only one I was really concerned with. He'd claimed Jeannette's room as his own before she arrived so, I was worried that he might feel threatened. Luckily, he seems to feel that Jeannette is not only fine, but, I think he likes her. Punkin actually shows concern whenver she cries or fusses. He'll go up to her and look toward us with a worried look on his face and then meow until we pick her up, at which point he starts purring.
